The Attic Gallery began in Diana Faville\'\s attic in l973 with a showing of Sidonie Caron\'\s paintings. Other artists soon followed and now the gallery is the largest and oldest in Portland representing 65 contemporary artists. In May, 2006, the Attic Gallery opened a second location in the Pearl District at 539 NW 10th and Hoyt. This space was conceived and designed by Tommer Gonser who, along with Maria Gonser, managed this space. In May 2008, the Attic Gallery left its space in the Pearl to move back downtown where we have been since 1984 at 206 SW First Avenue between SW Oak St. and SW Pine St. one block over from the waterfront. The gallery is on the Max line (take the Oak St. exit and walk North). The gallery\'\s goal is to exhibit unique works by gallery artists, showcasing their works to collectors with changing monthly exhibits and broadening the artists\'\ exposure via the internet.
